WikipediaThe siege of Tashkent (9 May – 17 June 1865) was the last major battle between the Khanate of Kokand and the Russian Empire during the Russo-Kokand War. During the battle, Alimqul, the de-facto leader of Kokand was killed. In the aftermath of the battle, the khanate was greatly weakened.
